Philippe Bouthet du Rivault was successively officer of Marine Merchant, officer of Marine then engineer in the automotive industry internationally. Today retired, he returns to his first passion, the sea, through the archives of the Navy in Rochefort and the frigate L'Hermione, that of the eighteenth century as that of the twenty-first century. They inspired him for lectures and writings.
