A Noble Cause: Supporting At-Risk Female High School Students

Beyond the glitz and glamour of the WHOF event lies a noble cause close to the heart of the Women’s Chamber — the WCCNV Legacy Foundation© 501(c)(3) scholarship fund for at-risk female high school students. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting these students, providing them with opportunities for higher education and a brighter future.

The Story of the Women’s Chamber: A Legacy of Empowerment

The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada traces its roots back to May 8, 2002, when it was established as the only Women’s “State” Chamber in Nevada’s 160-year history. Founded by June L. Beland, an esteemed figure in the entertainment industry, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy, the chamber was born out of a desire to empower women in Nevada.

June Beland’s vision was simple yet profound — to create a platform where women could access resources, support, mentoring, and opportunities to thrive in the business world. Despite facing challenges and obstacles along the way, June remained steadfast in her commitment to uplifting women and building a community where they could flourish.

Today, the Women’s Chamber stands as a beacon of empowerment, advocacy, and solidarity for women across Nevada. With its rich history and unwavering dedication to its mission, the chamber continues to pave the way for women to achieve their fullest potential.

Looking Towards the Future

As the Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Nevada celebrates its 20th anniversary, it looks towards the future with optimism, determination, and a renewed commitment to its mission. Through its programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts, the chamber remains steadfast in its pursuit of gender equality, economic empowerment, and inclusive prosperity for all.

In conclusion, the 20th Annual Women’s Hall of Fame event serves not only as a celebration of past achievements but also as a reminder of the limitless potential and boundless possibilities that lie ahead. As we honor the remarkable women who have paved the way, let us also reaffirm our commitment to building a more equitable, inclusive, and empowered world for generations to come.
